Dear all,
We can't change the timeout inactivity to more than 10 minutes. Is there a way to increase it? (Zonedirector 3000 - firmware 9.8)
Thank you for your help

Hi Jorge,
Could you elaborate which timeout you mean?
If you mean administration of the box, the timeout period is 30 minutes.

Hi,
I am using Ruckus Zone director 1100.
I could not increase inactivity time out more than 10 minutes.
to change the inactivity time out:
configure -> WLANs -> (my ssid) -> Edit - > Advanced Options - > Inactivity time out
"Terminate idle user session after [10] minutes of inactivity."
When i enter 11 minutes and click ok, it displays
"Inactivity Timeout must be a number between 1 and 10".
Kindly help to solve this issue.
Thank you,
Thanika

Hello Thanikasalam,
If the user session indicated on the ZD states that it will be terminated after 10 minutes, if you enter 11 minutes I don't believe it will accept that value.
I hope this helps. Are you asking for a feature request or how to understand the inactivity timeout feature?
Thanks,
Cordelia

Hi Cordelia,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I want to set inactivity timeout to 120 minutes. I know currently i cannot able to do it.
But I request Ruckus to change this function in zone director. It is very inconvenient for our students to use our WIFI connections.
Kindly help solve this issue.
Thank you,

Hello, I'm afraid you are hitting ER-1553. Engineering mistakenly reduced the Inactivity Timeout maximum from 500 minutes to just 10 minutes in 9.7.2.0.9 and 9.8.0.0.373 (GA) release. Later
firmware has restored the 1-500 minute inactivity timeout value.
