Performance is based on your setup/device support and interference.  I always say basically cut theoretical spec in half to get your real-world speeds.
1. Ruckus needs to be on maximum channelization (80 or 160 mhz as I'm not sure what shows up)
2. Device needs to support that Channelization with 3x3 antennas.

I would say that you will never see those speeds with most equipment and that's ok. Unless you are doing some serious file transferring, what need would you have for it at this point in time?

here is the Case# 01003536. the units only qualified for T & M support. I still think there is a solution in later releases but don't want to churn the customer though a ton of releases unnecessarily

Hi Kevin,
I see, no support, but as you found we give free Unleashed firmware
that you can load, even if you only bought a Solo AP.  You didn't get to
provide details for TAC to investigate, but we have many folks here too.
So, how many APs do you have, what kind of clients do you have, and
what are you seeing for up/down using what kind of speed test tools?  If
you only have iPhones, group sees UNL 200.6 as best up/down performance.
If you have mostly other devices, latest UNL 200.8 works well. [Note: Your
mileage may vary, physical environment affects Wi-Fi coverage, etc.]
Oh, and as I read below that you have SZ too, are you testing the same APs
in the same locations using UNL and SZ management?  Do you see any
difference in performance across your clients?  (shouldn't be much if any)
... and how many of which model APs do you have again please?  The "issue"
is thought to only affect R710 model APs.

Kevin,

What are you downloads when near a r610? Uploads?  What device?  What unleashed firmware are you on?

The other thread about R710 Unleashed issue is not necessarily affecting other models.

Has anyone tested maintenance release 200.7.10.202.92 that was recently posted?

I know this also impacts the R610, I know under certain conditions it impacts the R610 too..  Doesn't happen to all R510, R610, R710 users.. but does impact all 3 APs and more... I have tested all 3 APs personally... and have deployed R510, R610...

"this"?  I believe there is an iOS phone client (only) upload speed issue.
If you have a TAC case open, so they can understand your network and see logs from a problematic client,
it would be very helpful to detemime if your issue is similar to ER-7956.

That's our internal bug number ID, that TAC would link to your case, if you had support.
It's not visible to general public.

to add to the documentation, the customer does run iOS and i was on site with android and saw similar results far short of the 1 G ISP speed. Also installed 60 Watt POE injectors as the switch was providing 802.3 af power

Do you have Android vs iOS numbers, from which tool to local or an Internet target?
Which AP and what client devices have for number of streams, 802.11ac or ax, etc matters,
but you will never get full ISP WAN link speed from a Wi-Fi client throughput.
I would like to know what numbers you got from which clients, and what AP model(s)?
I know you have at least one R610, but how many and are there other models, etc at the CU?

we were hard pressed to get above 400 Mbps. i used speedflex app to isolate the ISP. I believe the customer has upgraded to iPhone X since last fall.

Eng said early on that SpeedFlex was not reliable on Unleashed.
You might have seen better numbers with another test app.

I also use testmy.net. what others do you recommend? Also curious why a Ruckus app would be unreliable?

We use iperf - it's simple, reliable, and more informative.  We stopped using Speedflex a couple of year ago.

Hi David,

Thanks, I did locate a Nperf in the play store. Looks quite interesting. The only reason we use Speedflex is to do OTA only testing and eliminate the ISP.

What is the recommended Unleashed code version to correct this performance issue?
