Plugging other ethernet devices into the back of new APs

I just installed a new R700 AP. The location I installed it at I used the port from an existing printer which I then plugged into the back of the new AP. From there the printer stopped working despite having a green ethernet connection light next to the printer impute cable. I think the problem is that the AP is not allowing traffic through the port the cable is plugged into. Is there a good way to enable this function? I read the http://a030f85c1e25003d7609-b98377aee968aad08453374eb1df3398.r40.cf2.rackcdn.com/datasheets/ds-zoneflex-r700.pdf

documenting but found no solution.

Thoughts?

In addition to what Monnat Systems suggested, do you have any sort of VLAN configuration?
