Does anyone know when provisioning will support Android 5 & Windows 10?

We've been hearing that Lollipop (Android 5) will be supported in the next release for months (and there have been multiple interim releases to the 9 chain during that time) and still no auto provisioning for Android 5. And now we're seeing Windows 10 not running Auto Provisioning (and MS is reporting over 75 Million devices now have Win10 on them).

Does anyone here, or if you're with Ruckus, know when we might start seeing better support and updates of client platforms?
Thanks.

Android 5.x Lollipop OS support for Zero-IT is still scheduled to be supported in the next releases per Product Marketing.

It looks like the soonest firmware with support of Zero-IT for Windows 10, will be ZoneFlex 9.12.1 MR release.

I just finished installing 9.12.1 on our ZD1200, Zero-IT still does not work for Lollipop. The APK downloads but gives an error "There was a problem parsing the package" when trying to open it. Have to say, I'm pretty disappointed, I'd much rather have Zero-IT work than have social media WLANS.

Are you guys freaking kidding?
Social Media logins? What the hell?

It's been going on a year now since we were told that Android 5 would be supported in "the next release". News flash - you're 4 releases past that and no Android.

And even though your compatibility matrix says Windows 10 works, there are already people reporting that it doesn't work.

I love the RF engineering - far better than anything else on the market - but at this point I'm ready to rip out a 100 node network and dual 3000's and put in Cisco. And with how much I hate Cisco, that's saying something.

Can you guys actually focus on what's needed, and stop goofing around with crap like Facebook logins?

I couldn't agree more. I would much rather have the features my co-workers need than the features my guest users don't need.

I just tested Zero-IT for the first time for our school. The setup went well, but when it came time to test auto-provisioning both my test computer and smartphone failed to do so. Lucky me, my computer just happened to be on Win10 and my phone is on Lollipop.....

At least now I know that I didn't do anything wrong with the setup, but definitely add me to the list of those admins who really need auto-provisioning packages for up-to-date clients.

Engineering and Product Marketing are targeting ZD 9.12.2 (MR2) release to include both Win10 and Android 5 (Lollipop) support for Zero-IT/DPSK.

Will the 7363 and 7962 APs support the new firmware? I keep hearing from support to not upgrade because of performance problems.

What we were told is that 9.8.3.0.14 is the last firmware to support the 7962 APs that we use, so we can't utilize any feature implemented beyond this. This also leaves us with no resolution for the bug that I describe here: https://forums.ruckuswireless.com/ruckuswireless/topics/the-limit-d-psk-generation-per-user-feature-is-case-sensitive-allowing-more-than-the-actual-limit

I understand the no new features mentality, but bug fixes for a WLAN that still has plenty of life isn't acceptable to me.

I agree! It isn't as if the fixes needed to allow compatibility with Lollipop and Win10 or to resolve the issue with usernames being case sensitive are incompatible with these older APs.

Looks like Win10 got added to the
ZoneDirector Version 9.12.1.0.148 Refresh that has been released:

Resolved an issue with Windows 10 clients being incorrectly categorized as
Windows 8 in client monitoring charts. Additionally, Windows 10 is now
supported in Zero-IT provisioning. [ZF-14403]

Here's hoping for Lollipop in 9.12.2!

I know this topic is listed as "answered" but it really isn't answered. Is there any update on "when"? This is a major feature for us.

Still waiting for Windows 10 ZeroIT on my Zonedirector 1100. Making contingency plans to switch vendor this summer if there's not a resolution on this from Ruckus soon.

9.12.2 is released and supports Android 5. As far as ZD1100, time to upgrade or move to an SCG, vSCG unfortunately. EOL so not releasing 9.12.2 for ZD1100.

That's different than what Michael from Ruckus indicated earlier.
Also, it is not EOL. It was marked End of Sale about as Windows 10 was released, and I still pay for support, and support is available up until 2020. For Ruckus to not support the world's most common desktop operating system on a wifi product they support for 5 years yet is a great way to chase customers away.
Why would I pay for a product that doesn't work?

Seems that ZD 1100 just has a new firmware 9.10.2 which now support zero IT on android 5:

We're seeing the same thing on our ZD1200 Nexan - installed the latest update but Android 5 still doesn't work with ZeroIT.
