Has anyone managed to get SmartMesh working with 2942s managed by a zone director 1000. They are all on up to date firmware and I’ve not been able to find any detail of the feature in the manuals. I figured that it would just auto-negotiate once a 2942 had been powered up within range of another 2942 that was already connected to the zone director but this doesn’t seem to happen.

Did you enable meshing through ZD.
Log in to your ZD, and on the top menu click Configure and then on you left panel choose Mesh, tick the ‘Enable’ box and Apply. Give it a few minutes to activate.

I’ve got it working with 7942.
