2925 hotspot management via wireless
Hi to all, Given the following: Hotspot1: VLAN11 Hotspot2: VLAN21 Hotspot3: VLAN31 Hotspot4: VLAN41 Management VLAN: 51 Assuming the 2925 Hotspot is already in service and each SSID (total of 4) has their own clients, how can I manage the 2925 hotspot wirelessly. Regards, Christian |

Hi Christian, Connect one of the 2825’s LAN ports to the DHCP server directly using a cable. Now type in IP address of 2925 on a wireless laptop. Let me know how it goes. |

Hi csannedhi, Thanks for the info. But I am a little bit confused. Do you mean I will use another AP which is 2825? |
Hi Christian, I believe csannedhi meant to say 2925 not 2825. With revision 4.1 firmware, you can not manage 2925 wirelessly. You will have to manage it from WAN port side. Kind Regards, Ruckus Support |

Thank you very much Ruckus support. |

Hi Christian, Did you manage to connect to the 2925 wirelessly?can you post the necessary connections and configurations here? thanks in advans. |

Hi rock-us, As rock-us support said, for the 2925 firmware version of 4.1, 2925 can’t be managed via wireless. I also try different approach but failed. Maybe for the 4.2 version solve the problem. Dear Ruckus support, When is the availabilty of 4.2 firmware? |
Hi Christian, I can not provide firmware release schedule. If you contact Ruckus Sales team you have been working with, they should be able to give you the dates. Kind Regards, Ruckus Support |

Assuming you are able to go online by connecting to one of the wireless networks configured on 2925 AP it becomes a challenge to access the AP itself wirelessly (You can still manage the AP by directly connecting to its LAN port). As Ruckus Support mentioned you have to manage the AP from the WAN side. Take a network cable and connect one of the 2925’s LAN ports to the DHCP network (WAN network). Post your response in case of any difficulty. |

Dear christian, csannedhi, What i mean is I cannot manage to connect to the 2925 wirelessly. This is what I want. Which I cannot figure out how. Im not interested in managing the 2925 wirelessly. So if you have the necessary configurations and connections please post it here. thanks |

I am repeating here again for you: “Take a network cable and connect one of the 2925’s LAN ports to the DHCP network (WAN network).” |
