VLAN11, HotSpot1, LAN ports

There is a message from Ruckus Support said “LAN ports belong to VLAN11 same as the Hotspot1 WLAN. But VLAN tagging is not needed to connect to LAN ports.”. Mine is ZF2925-EU, S/N:ZF10000497, Software version gd6-5 4.1.0.29. And it is default settings. By the message, means if I have a notebook successfully connect with HotSpot1. And notebook’s wireless card is fixed IP as 192.168.1.10. And I have a desktop PC connecting with 2925’s UTP port (Port #1) with fixed IP address 192.168.1.11. Both machines should be able to ping each other. But the real testing shows negative result. I cannot ping them through. Technically, LAN ports on 2925 should be untag type with PVID11 and being as member of VLAN11 (and it might be member of VLAN51 to management purpose). Please correct me if I am misunderstanding. |

The 2925 (@4.1) in factory default mode is configured in the following way:
In your setup, you have a wireless station connected to the first SSID (VLAN 11). The wired station is in port 1 (VLAN 51). These stations cannot talk to each other, because they are on different VLANs. Even if there is a third party router in your setup (routing between the VLANs) your two stations will not be able to talk to each other because they use a manually configured IP address in the same subnet. If the wired station would be configured with an IP address in the same range as the AP (192.168.0.1 by default), then the wired station would be able to ping the AP. The wireless station will not be able to ping the AP or the wired station as it is not in the Management VLAN (51). Summary
