Have a number of queries on this…..
Firstly, if I have a no. of SSIDs, I want to advertise only the concerned SSIDs in the APs for particular VLANs…..secondly authentication is only when i connect to my zonedirector.How will I login to windows in a domain enabled Laptop?......Next,what if i dont want to use the web based authentication technique and want a authentication window to pop up whn trying to connect to LAN or internet….....Lastly how do i tag VLANs to WLANs…...

idskuldeep, it looks like all your questions are related to ZoneFlex (ZoneDirector controlled APs). Is this correct?

1. It looks like you want to specify which SSID to advertise based on the VLAN the AP is connected to? Today it is all or nothing. All WLANs/SSIDs configured on the ZoneDirector will be configured on all APs
2. There is no difference between logging into a Windows Domain when using cable or wireless. In a wireless environment you may need to log into the wireless first before you can log into a Windows Domain, but once connected to the wireless, use the same method of logging into the Windows Domain as you would when using a cabled connection
3. I don’t understand this question. Please clarify
4. While configuring the WLAN/SSID, there is an Advanced Options link towards the bottom of the screen. Here is where you configure the VLAN tag. The traffic will be tagged by the AP, so make sure the switch port configuration (which connects to the AP) matches the VLAN tag configuration
