Ruckus ZoneDirector & Windows AD Authentications

Does anyone please have a idea on setting this up the Ruckus options that is needed on the Ruckus side and client side, I have created the AD group and have added the Auth server and Group to the Ruckus Zone Director. not sure which options to select on the windows XP client.

ASidhom, you don’t need to configure anything AD-specific on the client side. The client needs to connect to an SSID which has been configured on the ZD as ‘Method = 802.1x EAP’ and ‘Authentication server = your AD server’. You can test your authentication settings under Configure—> Authentication servers.

If that works fine, power up your windows XP client, scan for the SSID you configured above, connect to the SSID and Windows should be smart enough to figure out this is an 802.1x SSID. The rest is standard WinXP 802.1x configuration, so specify the Authentication parameters under the wireless card properties. Select the correct EAP type, hit the Properties button and configure the CA (if any), and the Authentication Method (eg MSCHAPv2). Again these client configuration parameters are ZoneDirector independent, as the ZoneDirector is only passing through the EAP traffic to your AD server.
