Can someone explain how the Map View can display the physical location of clients or rogue access points without the access points being aligned in some way to match the orientation of the floor plan?

pkp, each and every AP will report the signal strength back to the ZoneDirector, which then draws (virtual) circles around the APs. Where the circles intersect is where the device is located. With only 2 APs, the circles will intersect at two places, so we use some other logic to predict the device’s location. The more APs can hear the rogue or client, the better our mechanism will work.

One thing to check is the scale of the drawing (the ‘ruler’ at the bottom-left of the screen). Make sure the meter/feet scale matches the drawing scale.
