Data WLAN not available ?

Hi dear support team I am a 2825/2811 user from Switzerland, who got your hardware from BLUEWIN TV, my current IPTV provider, as an alternative to a wired connection when i moved home, since it would have been a “architectural” nightmare to bring a wired connection between my ADSL router and the Set top box… ;-) First of all, let me thank you for YOUR GREAT PRODUCT ! It is a wonder and works perfectly. (had tried a Devolo Powerline adapter 85Mbits before my IPTV provider came with your solution, but the the IPTV signal with the DEVOLO was not fluent, so I was eager to test your stuff once it became officially available from our IPTV provider). Since the WLAN-Modem/Router from my IPTV provider (also being my internet provider) had WLAN and the Ruckus was sitting right next to it, I disabled the WLAN from my router and only use the RUCKUS as an AP for both my Set-top box and my notebooks + PLAYSTATION 3. However, in the settings of the 2825, I only see a tab “Video WLAN” and my Notebooks + the PS3 actually connect to that SSID. My question: I have seen comments about a DATA WLAN, both in this forum but also in the 2825 doc available from your website…how is it I cannot “see”/access this in my 2825 ? Also, do I risk bandwidth issues when I will have my second IPTV box connected to the 2825 ? and last but not least: where could i purchase only a 2811 ? My IPTV provider only sells a combo offer with 1×2825 and 1×2811...not the best deal for me… Thanks a lot for your answers to those few questions. |
