Hi,

i’d like to use my 2825 as an AP receiving signal from a 2wire and pass it to two (or more) computers.

Can it be done?

Just to add that i don’t want to use the WAN connection but instead receive the signal over the air and pass it through the LAN ports

hope to see some replies

cheers

Hi mestrini,

The 2825 is an Access Point and you can not use it as a wireless extender. Will disabling wireless on the 2wire and using your 2825 as the sole wireless AP work by connecting WAN port to your 2 wire gateway? If you want to extend the wireless coverage, you can add MM2211 to your set up.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the reply but i already have it connected to the 2wire boosting the signal to a 2111. In fact i have two wireless signals since i can’t make my Ubuntu laptop connect to my Ruckus; thus the 2wire broadcasting.

Problem is i have two desktop PCs away from the 2wire and only one 2111 to receive the signal and i’m not willing to buy another. That’s why i asked about converting the 2825 so that the signal cold be passed to both PCs via LAN ports.

I guess i’ll have to buy a USB wireless or see if i can pull it off with a linksys router lying around.

Thanks anyway

Cheers
