Hi, i’d like to use my 2825 as an AP receiving signal from a 2wire and pass it to two (or more) computers. Can it be done? tx |

Just to add that i don’t want to use the WAN connection but instead receive the signal over the air and pass it through the LAN ports hope to see some replies cheers |

Hi mestrini, The 2825 is an Access Point and you can not use it as a wireless extender. Will disabling wireless on the 2wire and using your 2825 as the sole wireless AP work by connecting WAN port to your 2 wire gateway? If you want to extend the wireless coverage, you can add MM2211 to your set up. Kind Regards, Ruckus Support |

Thanks for the reply but i already have it connected to the 2wire boosting the signal to a 2111. In fact i have two wireless signals since i can’t make my Ubuntu laptop connect to my Ruckus; thus the 2wire broadcasting. Problem is i have two desktop PCs away from the 2wire and only one 2111 to receive the signal and i’m not willing to buy another. That’s why i asked about converting the 2825 so that the signal cold be passed to both PCs via LAN ports. I guess i’ll have to buy a USB wireless or see if i can pull it off with a linksys router lying around. Thanks anyway Cheers |
