Hello

I have the following setup:

Laptop-—-2111)))))))((((((Wireless Router
10.0.0.192 10.0.0.191 10.0.0.1

—=Tp wire
)))(((=Wireless

I have succesfully connected a 2111 to a Wireless Router, except:

I cannot ping from a laptop to our wireless router. The 2111 can ping both the laptop and the wireless router, and vice-versa. But the laptop and the wireless outer cannot ping each other. The 2111 shows up as connected with the correct MAC on the Wireless Router.

What am I missing??

I also have problems ugradig the firmware on the 2111. I’ve tried Tftp and Ftp but with no luck. the 2111 downloads the rcks_fw.bl7_426 firmware file. I can see that in the log for the Tftp/Ftp server. But the 2111 just tells me that it has failed, and I must go back and try again. I was using the firmware from this location: http://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/for_…

Any ideas?

Regards.

Martin

After talking to Eric from Ruckus we came to the conclusion that my third party AP does not support WDS 4

When upgrading firmware, one must edit the .rcks control file and write the IP of the tftp/ftp server that the file is located on, the size, and the name of the firmware file. I forgot to mention that I was doing a firmware upgrade from a local tftp/ftp server.
